The Highlands Apartments offers unfurnished 1, 2, & 3 bedroom garden-style apartments with an annual or short term (3 month minimum) lease. All of the apartments have wall-to-wall carpeting, with the exception of the kitchen and bathroom, which are vinyl. This is an all electric community, which provides clean heat and air-conditioning. All kitchens are equipped with range, refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and re-circulating range hood and fan. An attempt has been made to keep everything neutral, so that your furnishings can accent our basic décor. All units are equipped with smoke detectors and there are fire extinguishers located in each hallway. Adjacent to the hallways outside the apartments, we have convenient coin-operated laundry facilities. Also, extra storage space is available (for a small fee) if desired. Some units have carpeted balconies, others have private patio; yet others may have neither. sorry, no pets.
Joining our apartment community:We accept rental applications on a rolling basis. However, our current tenants are always given the opportunity to renew their lease with us. Our apartments are shown by appointment, so you will need to contact us at the rental office, which is not in our apartment complex, but approximately one mile away. Upon seeing an apartment you will be invited to fill out a rental application. You may fill it out on site, or take it home to review. Then mail or drop off the completed application and application fee ($25 for each resident over age 18). We will review it and contact you. If the application is accepted, you will then need to mail or drop off payment of a security deposit. Upon signing the lease, you will have ten (10) days to provide proof of renter’s insurance (spelled out more specifically in the lease).
